We get it, Steph broke an amazing record but he is shooting 43%. Which is by far a career low. He is also shooting a career low 40% from 3. Still impressive but 65% of his shots are coming from 3. Attempting 20 shots a game while averaging 27 ppg. He had a MUCH better year last year but bc GS is winning he is in the MVP race....tells you everything you need to know about the MVP award.

Honestly if you take Steph off the Warriors right now, they go from being in 1st place to the lottery. A lot of his value is ingrained in the way the Warriors CAN play when he's out on the court. I think that's why there's a lot of people who down play his accomplishments because on face value, his numbers have never been craaazy. But there's levels to this.

I dunno about that, they still have Harden (massively underperforming). Not trying to compare but for arguments sake take both Steph and KD off their teams. If your next 3 best players after your star are:

Wiggins
Draymond
Poole

or

Harden
Aldridge
Mills


Which one of those 3 options are you taking to win a game?

We can give both their props for doing what they're doing with their respective squads without diminishing either, IMO. Both are carrying a huge load for their teams and neither would be anywhere near successful without them.
