Mutombo because he’s the Big and basketball has always for some reason extolled the defense of bigs over wings.

I don’t think Kobe was “amazing” at covering 2s and 3s. I think he was an above average defender. I think because he’s dead people are now saying that his defense is AMAZING. I never thought that at the time he played. I don’t think that now. People have a tendency to prop up the dead.

2 things can be true. Yes Lebron can guard more positions than Kobe but Kobe can still be the better defender.

Being able to guard 1 through 5 doesn't automatically make you the better defender
