So would you want the Hoodie as your coach

Heard a interesting debate today and thought I would bring it us here in SportsHoopla land.

The question is simply. For all of you folks that have teams that have been eliminated would you prefer to have your coach be more like BB and push the limits? Find ways to push the rules to the max and give his team a advantage or would you rather stick to the letter of thee rule and not find loopholes.

Yes this is a Pats fan that admits that BB does push the limits and maybe goes over. Poll forthcoming

I would ask Seattle fans to not vote but feel free to comment. Your team is either the Champs or runner up so I would prefer to have the fans from teams that are OUT answer and vote.

Sorry, voted before reading. I wouldn't take BB over Carroll, but that is definitely biased. If I didn't already think we had a great coach, I would take Belichek, without question.

Believe me, we get enough similar stuff for Carroll because of the so called Fail Mary game. He's called a cheater and worse all the time on the board, so adding that to our fanbase isn't gonna hurt nobody.

It's an interesting question for me. I have no problems with the obscure rule applications to his game plans (like Harbaugh did) but I'm a little leary of the pushing the ethical boundaries. I like the semblance of a fari game. But, truth be told, I felt he treated Bledsoe horribly (WSU Coug fan, so Bledsoe was a favorite of mine) so I would be torn. I think he's a hell of a coach, and it's hard to argue with 12 straight 10 win seasons (14 9 win seasons).

I'd take him over any coach in the league. However, his antics do get old even for a Pats fan. I guess you take the good with bad and hope for the best? Similar situation as having Marshawn Lynch on your team.

I like Pete. He has been a major part of building us a winner. And before him we had Holmgren. Another really good coach.

If we had Tom Flores again, I would trade him for Bill in a heartbeat.

Bill gets more credit than he deserves cause he has Brady. But he is still among the top coaches in the league.
My only issue with skirting the edge of the rules is we would be here always defending him. I don't like defending stupid stuff like players taking drugs or beating up women or worse. Would rather not get berated for the antics of people I have no control over.

I liked Pete Carroll when we had him. After he was fired, he ended up having the highest winning percentage of any Pats coach in their history (probably more of an indictment of the Pats history pre Belichick than Pete's ability). Unfortunately, his teams were getting worse over time and there were reports he had lost the locker room.

Very pleased with the guy who replaced him.
