In a game like this, you take what you can get.

If you can't beat them, at least play for pride and TRY to do something. That's what we've come to learn around here, and not from just one sport.

If anyone wanted to entertain the idea of a come back, or even just making it feel respectable they must be aggressive and go for it. Pussing out with FG's down 31 would be more lame than missing out on 4th down and giving it to them.

31-3 is more or less entirely equal to 31-0. It makes almost no difference. Staying aggressive and making a real try at a dent does.

you know Carolina is just going to run the ball to end the half, you take the 3 and get the stop with a chance to put up 10 at halftime. Seattle has the ball to open the 2nd half and you never know, they could cut the deficit in half. That's my thinking about going for a FG

Coaches were off, defense was asleep and made no adjustments, the offense is out of sync. Special teams hasn't done anything.

That 3 made ZERO difference.

Does it really matter what they did? Carolina came out with the fire and desire to win this game and Seattle simply didn't.

Because we need the momentum... We needed points ... Were down 4TD's and a field goal... We could a got the game to 4 TD's and had what little momentum we could grab right now... Instead Carolina get's pumped up because they stopped us....

Imagine the greatest opening of the second half even possible. A KO return for a TD and a quick pick 6. Still down 17 with no LT against a defense you don't have a history of scoring big against.

It just wasn't our day. And again, I'm nowhere near as down about it as I was last year with that SB ending.
