Game Thread: Seattle Seahawks @ Atlanta Falcons

I'm old enough to remember the Seahawks first season. Before '76 most Seattle football fans were splintered on who they followed. I knew a lot of cowboy fans when I was young. Our football team was the Huskies and that's what you followed if you wanted local football in the NW. Even in the early years the Seahawks were not that good while at the same time Don James had just taken over the Huskies and was building something special on montlake. That is probably one of the reasons I'm still more of a college football fan than the pros even if I do love both.

I can't remember the last time I missed a snap of regular season action. Yes, I even made myself suffer through every minute of some of the beatings we took in 08 and 09.

Yep lol. Wasn't easy for me either. Dad despite growing up in Seattle was a San Fran fan before we had our team and he was never die hard Seattle. He'll shut games off before they're over if we're losing, never owned Seahawks merchandise until I bought it for him, and all in all gives up pretty fast.

So I had nobody to create my loyalty for me. But man oh man, watching Largent and Kennedy dominate got it going for me. That and my love of football... who else was I going to root for!? Sure as hell not any team outside of Seattle.

Even living in Chicago right now.... F going out or going to a Bears game. Only time I'm going to a Bears game is if Seattle plays them... and I will represent the 12th man when I go

Boy today just has a bunch of good games. Seattle blowing out Atlanta, and then I get to hopefully watch San Fran blow one.

Wow 40 tackles in two games by the Falcons linebacker. That is extremely impressive.

Man Ryan has really been off today. Couldn't even complete that short dump off pass.

Seahawks just smothering the Falcons receivers downfield, and have all game (even White's catch wasn't bad coverage).

Safe to say we're back on track and now is probably a good time than ever to kick it up a notch going forward. Very impressive performance today on the road with an early start. We need to continue to do this... just put a strangle hold on the rest of the NFC.

NICE TACKLE Thurmond. He has been lights out this game. I see Browner moving on from this team unless he is willing to sign cheap.
