The draft is a crap shoot.

I was hoping for Jones to be honest, Lewis is Ok but he is a REACHER as in he reaches out and grabs people. He got away with it a lot in college, he will get a lot of flags in the NFL. Whats new.

Cards got a good player. I think he will be a fine starting tackle, would have been nice to have him as our right tackle.

The only thing I can say to that is the whole league passed on him for 2 full rounds and then some. Maybe the Hawks were one of several teams who don't think he's a first round talent? Maybe there's risk with the player they didn't want to take on?

sure, but its also widely acknowledged if he was a few inches taller he goes top 2. other QBs with height issues were drafted high because of him and only him. he is a generational HOF talent.

Mocks are based on journalists, not actual front office people.

I used to do mocks every year. Did tons of research. Built a list.

But then I realized that I really didn't know shit and was just counting on various journalists to inform me.

In almost every draft there is a guy who is projected to be a 2nd or 3rd round pick who doesn't even get drafted. The mocks really don't know nearly as much as the front offices. Because the interviews matter a lot.
