$@$$&!!!
During Bevell time here Seahawks were likely the second most successful team in the league ( Pats being first ) unrealistically expectations is always a problem for fans.
What is your opinion about trading back and trying to recoup a 2nd and or a 3rd I thought I read a post that you didn't have any in this draft? It would seem that with this draft being so deep at the interior OL and RB it could set up well for Seattle to go a long way in fixing any issues this draft. I mean honestly you might not even need to that many picks to get a CB, interior Linemen and RB. I'm assuming your OL needs at least one interior player.
UFAs don't free up any cap space because their contract has expired. However, they do factor in to comp picks.Graham is gonna be a Packer, how much cap space will that free up ? The jimmy Graham experiment just never panned out...
He is still probably pretty good, if its not Brett Hundley throwing to himIsn't he just a name now? 32 years old?

As to whether the "experiment" worked here, he was actually a pretty productive player. I would say the fit wasn't as good as what it was in NO, but is yards per catch and catch % (non-volume stats) were on par with his career avg. Part of it is he was getting about 50% more targets a year with the Saints, so the yards and TDs were a lot more since those stats are a product of opportunity. Ultimately it makes more sense for this team to not pay the money to keep him here if we are not interested in using him in a way that best takes advantage of his skills.
Yeah, I think the Saints split him out around 2/3 of the time if I remember it right (it sticks in my mind because he was using that to argue why the tag money should be set at WR and not TE). It was probably flipped here. The fact that he couldn't block really hurt our running game having him out there, he's more like a big receiver not a true TE.. He also started dropping some easy passes, which was surprising because he is a good receiver overall... But I"m with you, no reason to resign him...
LB wasn’t the position I thought they would address in FA market.Seahawks sign Barkevous bingo on a 2 year 10.1 million dollar deal

Boogie your right about Graham hurting the run game and him being more like a tall WR. Perhaps if the OL didn’t need the help it won’t matter, but they did need the help. Wasn’t disappointed to see him move on.The fact that he couldn't block really hurt our running game having him out there, he's more like a big receiver not a true TE.. Best name in pro football.
Have no idea if he's a good signing or not. Awesome name though.
