That would help continue the rivalry. He went after bb and the pats in ny. Would be an i interesting hire.

This is NOT the coach I want San Fran to pick up. Look, Ryan is a dork but the guy knows how to run a defense and was decent with New York while being given NOTHING to work with. Geno Smith and Eric Dekcer? LOL, that's like casting Jaden Smith and Jake Lloyd to do a film and expect a blockbuster hit.
Hopefully San Fran doesn't like this guy, I could see him doing some nasty things with the current scheme in San Fran and if he continues the trend hitting on DL, bleh.
Seems to me the 49ers need a coach that can help the offense. Their defense was still playing well despite injuries and such. So if they hire Ryan, I say fine, the 49ers will have a good defense and a worthless offense. I can live with that.

IMO, Rex would be a better fit in Atl. They have a QB and a solid set of WR's, just need to fix the O-line and then let Rex go to work and rebuild the defense.
Good defenses always give us fits though, and good defenses ALWAYS make a competitive game (generally). I don't want that with the 9ers. I already have enough ulcers developed from the Rams/Cards this year.
The 49ers have a good DC. They need help on offense, don't you think?
Anyone who dislike San Fran should be TERRIFIED of Rex there. Him and Vic Fangio?![]()
Is Mike Shanahan the favorite to land the 49ers job?
I saw this and thought I'd share with everyone. Shannahan is an interesting thought, though I honestly wouldn't have thought of him for this. But, maybe they thought he did such a good job making RGIII relevant in the NFL that couldn't hurt to give him a shot with Kaep.
Man, talk about being the opposite of Seattle. I understand you want a good coaching staff, but shouldn't you also want what's best for your coaches?
