Another tough game to call. Both teams are in bad situations on defense. The Bengals don't have linebackers against a team that runs the ball and generally has one of the more complicated schemes in football. The Niners don't have healthy defensive backs against a talented group of receivers.

This feels like one of those games that a franchise QB needs to step up and put up 30+ points. This game is on Burrow. Let's see if he can do it.

we're actually 1.5 point underdogs.

I expect we should win, but with this team you never know.

how does zac taylor not feel his position slipping away?

I've seen Wendy's managers fired for less.

I gotta say, this is a bit surprising. Felt like the Niners were due for a bad game and the Bengals would do well enough at home tonget a solid win

The Bengals are what they are.... They have enough talent and guys that can make plays that they'll stay in games, make some big-time wow plays and sometimes even dominate on Sunday. They also aren't very well coached, they make tons of mistakes, have no depth, are missing a few critical pieces, and are too young to be consistent.

So, you get a lot of games that look like the past two weeks. There are times that this team looks like one of the top 5 in the league. And there are times they look like the 1990s Bengals.

At this point, I can't say I have any idea of what will happen over the next four weeks. The division is a mess.

Can't believe the Niners pulled this out after their usual blown 14-point 4th quarter lead.

You really have to hand it to our offensive coaches.... The Niners had absolutely no DBs available for the game and were praying the Bengals would just run the ball against their Cover 2. The Bengals obliged. They could have challenged them at the deep corner all day and they didn't start doing it until down 2 scores. Taylor still can't figure out exactly what he wants out of this offense.

Jimmy G. should get some credit. He led his team down the field for a game-winning field goal at the end of regulation and a game-winning touchdown in OT. He made the plays when he needed to make them.

Bengals aren’t winning another game. 7-10 freefall

Yeah, he takes way too much flak. He doesn't get a chance to excel because Shanahan doesn't trust him. He only shines when the 49ers have no choice but to pass. That is why the 49ers every week go into a shell with the 4th quarter lead and lose the game.

I think they're too inconsistent to completely freefall.... They'll do something weird like beat the Chiefs by 30 to set up a one-game playoff with the Browns in week 18, when they'll get beat by 30.

Imagine having a QB like Joe Burrow..... Imagine coming out of halftime down 11 and starting your drive with a 3 and out when you don't pass the football once. Imagine throwing the ball all over the field and marching down inside the 25 in an overtime that you can win with a touchdown and immediately run the ball twice. This is Zac Taylor's idea of a franchise QB.

You are lucky you don’t have Shanahan. He is horrible; especially in the 4th quarter

Especially need to call out that he was rocked on the first 1st down in OT. He got up and hobbled to line of scrimmage and kept on going. It’s a love/hate relationship Jimmy G and us fans.

He got hit hard.... Corner blitz. If only it got home.

Anyway - The Bengals have lost two OT games at home. In both games, the head coach took the ball out of the hands of his franchise QB. The only hope is that the guy takes a long hard look in the mirror and decides he isn't ever doing it again. I just don't have faith it will happen.
