led the league in TD's in 02

anything yet?

3rd request.
Wilson has played 55 regular season games. He's averaged 211.2 yards per game passing + 1.45 passing TD's/game. (No rushing TD's added)

Brady through his first 55 games: 214 yards per game passing + 1.49 passing TDs/game.

Ok, let me ask this though, what's more impressive with this? The fact that Brady led the league in '02, or the fact that despite having an average career thus far, that Wilson is only .04 TD's per game behind Brady. Only .04 TD's behind Brady who had to have a monster year in order to gain the slight lead. This also does not factor in the fact that Wilson has rushed for more TD's. If you factor in rushing TD's, I'm pretty sure that Wilson would average more TD's per game, even though Tom led the league in '02. So, really, him leading the league that year still doesn't do much in the way of comparing these two players through their first few seasons.

Also, while Brady led the league that year in TD's, by 1 TD over Rodgers, he attempted the 3rd most passing attempts. Both Rodgers and Favre had 27 TD's that year, and had less attempts. In Rodgers' case, he had nearly 100 less passing attempts to get to only 1 less TD. If you throw it enough, eventually you'll get some TD's. He led the league, but his TD to attempts ratio was not very impressive at all.

Wilson never led the league in that stat, but he did tie the NFL rookie record for passing TD's in his first year. Pretty impressive in it's own rite.

You can't only use one word reply. You use the stats to only show one side of the story. You know you are doing that purposely, which is false.

Let me ask you this: Has Wilson ever attempted over 600 passing attempts in a year? If he had, could he have led the league that year? In just 407 attempts in 2013 he threw for 26 TD's that year. Fair to say his clip on per attempt/TD ratio would blow Brady away. No?

the funny thing is, i LIKE wilson. ask my dearest buddy @DirtDirtDirt

we both liked him coming out of wisconsin. i thought he should have gone in the first round.

i just think he is what he is right now. a low attempt, game manager who has a great ground game and great to serviceable defense.

And I don't deal in statistics where people only consider one side of the coin. Stats can be easily manipulated if you just only show half the story/facts.

People with no long-standing, failing arguments do that. People who have a solid premise and ground for argument show all the facts, because it only bolsters their arguments.

I'd disagree he's "just a game manager". His stats are much better than that, especially when you add in his rushing yards. He's a bonafide leader of that team, on and off the field. He extends plays, makes clutch throws, runs when needed, and he does it all with a pretty mediocre set of receivers. A game manager to me is someone who just doesn't lose you the game. Wilson is a huge part of why Seattle wins games.

Exactly.

If you want to talk about rings BETWEEN All-Time greats, then fine. But you certainly can't just use rings to DETERMINE an All-Time great.

Unless you are talking about an individual sport (like Tennis), championships are as much about the other X amount of players on the team as they are about the guys who get the most attention. For football, that will always be the QB. Too much blame when things go bad, and to much credit when things go well. That is a very commonly accepted thought.

You're right...football is the ultimate team sport, Brady doesn't have 4 rings if some CB that 5 yrs from now nobody in Boston even remembers doesn't make an incredible play to end the game...P. Manning, Fouts, and Marino had great weapons and great OFC...Montana, Brady, Bradshaw had great teams.
