This is guy is getting screwed by the fact that Navy and Temple had incredible up years otherwise Ruffin is 7 - 5 and bowling. Messed up expectations here and ditching a pretty good football coach way too early unless there are behind the scenes issues.

I can't for the life of me understand this firing

he's done a great job at East Carolina, the fans and the players loved him and he enjoyed coaching there

This year was a bad year but what is a coach supposed to do when his teams gets bombarded with injuries the way East Carolina did? And that's after they lost a lot of seniors from last year's team and their schedule was tougher this year

AND for goodness sake he won almost every game against ACC opponents and I believe went undefeated against other teams in the state of North Carolina.

I can't imagine them doing any better
