Rosen still available. His jerseys in AZ have been reduced to 1/2 price. Let's see, Keenum or Rosen? You tell me.

Perhaps we couldn’t work a deal out for Rosen

Whether you think Cousin's was overrated or not this entire scenario could not have gone worse. They could have made the trade if they didn't want to pay Cousin's but why in the world did Allen want to sign him to that ridiculous contract that has this team so hamstrung now. <sigh> … and the Snyder era goes on and on.

See, here's the thing, Allen once cost this team 36 million in cap penalties. While there's no way for him to be sure at the signing of Smith, he has, in his own way, topped that with what amounts to a 42 million cap hit.:L

The Skins have actually been spot on so far this off-season. They had a major need, saw an all-pro at that position and struck.

They were in on Antonio Brown, but backed out when they realized they would have to give him a new contract.

Everyone is killing them for not cutting Zach Brown, Foster, and McGee already, but the Collins deal doesn't become official until today, so what was the rush. They had three days to at least try to trade them.

Got a QB that if the pieces around him are good, you can win with at backup money and a simple swap of a 6 for a 7. Neither of those picks probably make their team. It gives you a body for OTAs and takes you into the draft or the Rosen talks not completely desperate.

Now, Rosen for 46 and Keenum, or 15, Keenum and the Skins Comp 3rd for Rosen and 33 would be the icing on the cake, assuming Lock doesn't fall to 15.

If Lock doesn't fall, I'm all for trading down anyway. Take Hollywood at 33 and get your edge rusher at 46.

Because their salaries became guaranteed early in March I do believe.

I like your thinking on this regarding the recent moves made and unmade thus far.

We part a bit on the QB situation though. While it was a really nice move to get Keenum in the manner that they did, there's a real possibility that the NYG's will offer their #17 for Rosen (good because he's not worth it) and, with respect to Lock, even if he "falls" to 15, this team should pass on him as well. To me he's a early to mid 3rd round type of player. Overpayment in free agency happens a lot and this team has gone from doing this to quite frankly being relatively cheap operators. In some ways that's OK, but we should also be just as vigilant in not drafting players higher than where they should be slotted simply because they are QB's and we are desperate to get one.

Yeah, Giants could do that. I agree. I also think they might package their picks to go get Haskins. We'll see.

He wasn't all that in school, and yeah he played on a crappy team but that still doesn't completely resolve him of his own play.

His footwork needs major attention, there are still questions about his focus and desire to play hard. He has injury history dating back to high school, (already has a history of concussions) Although He can throw the ball like an NFL QB, he often refuses the easy throws, doesn't anticipate well, not up to par on pre-snap reads, not good on deep ball accuracy, isn't very mobile, and becomes worse out of the pocket. reports are that his film/video work is troublesome. Truth is the work that it's going to take to get him to competent is daunting, but ours is a desperate team, let's "feel good" about making a move to get him, and forget that he also has a history of playing poorly on crappy teams, like ours.

Isn't it, at long last time to get game changers on this team? How about we start with a QB?

may i ask? based on what, hes never been accurate in college or pros?

guys dont develop accuracy in the pros..

even his adjusted accuaracy rankings were worst in the league

As each day goes by and we get closer to the draft, Rosen's value goes down and the chances of Arizona trading him diminish. Best bet is...if he's not traded by April 15th (there's great irony in using that day) then there's a near 100% chance that he remains with the Redbirds and their top pick is defensive. (probably Bosa)
