Jameis Winston is a stud. I wrote an article on him a while back for a site I write for. It was before the season started. Having watched him some, I'm beyond impressed. Kid is legit.

I know it is not Monday yet, but it is almost Sunday. Oh well, I gave people enough time to get over my crap I pulled earlier in the week. I will be a good boy now...

Speaking of Winston, I like the kid too, but I don't like how short and compact his throws are. Hopefully that is something he works on a little bit and gets a little more fluid motion because it could lead to a decent amount of turnovers in the next league, but overall, I like him better as a prospect than Bridgewater.

Here is a little sample of his baseball prowess also....

Jameis Winston:

19/28 318 yds 3 tds 0 int
24 yds rushing
FSU 35 Maryland 0. 9 mins left in the 3rd quarter
Maryland is undefeated and ranked top 25. The level of competition argument? It's going out the window

No it isn't. Maryland has played no one. They padded their early schedule with cupcakes and happened to get luck and get ranked. They probably finish the season with 5-6 losses.

Listen, kid is good, no denying that. Putting him over Bridgewater as a prospect is insane. A guy who has proven it over time vs. a kid who no one has any tape on, who hasn't played anyone in the only 5 games he has played. I know this is a what have you done for me lately country and Winston is putting up huge numbers, but let's summer down for a bit.

I watched some highlights of the guy. Impressive athlete. Unbelievable how he stays so calm in the pocket for such a young guy. Is there any worry about his mechanics though? Sometimes it looks like he winds up a little.

He doesn't have picturesque mechanics. There's a bit of a hitch/windup, but overall I think he gets the ball out of his hands quickly so I don't think it's much of an issue. I could be blinded by my insane mancrush though..

Look at the accuracy and touch on his deep throw at 0:27. That's as good as anyone at any level. 1:15 seems like just another great throw, but it's a right handed QB rolling to his left. To make that throw with that level of accuracy is uncanny. 1:25 is Roethlisberger-esque. 1:57. I should apologize again for jinxing this kid and likely ruining a promising career
