Not sure if this is true, but a Browns fan at work was saying that Richardson didn't know about the trade until he heard it on the radio. If that is true, that is extremely fucked.

Mack and Thomas were pro bowlers

Thomas is great. I don't think Mack deserved a pro-bowl but he is still pretty good. Other than that, that line wouldn't have mattered much. Besides, when you have no other threat on offense besides Richardson, doesn't matter if they were all pro-bowlers with the box stacked to the hilt. He wasn't going to do anything.

They will tank every game the rest of the season and take Bridgewater and the best WR in round 1 steal a RB in round 2 grab 2 Olineman in rd 3 and probably defense and OL in rd 5 with 2 1st 2 3rd and 2 5th....rd picks...They want to come up quickly like we did.....with AJ and Green...Lombardi is copying the Indy formula for Andrew Luck and will take 2 picks similar to us in 2011...You heard it here 1st.

If I'm Teddy and Cleveland is the first team I'm linked to, I return to Louisville and hope that next year there is a better situation to go to.

Although, to be honest, I wouldn't rule out Johnny Football going to Cleveland either.

One thing is for certain, if Cleveland has their pick of QB's in next year's draft...they will pick the wrong guy. What makes anyone thing otherwise?

Isn't this a qb deep draft?

Draft Clowney #1 overall and then get a quarterback later in the first.

That's a really solid idea.

You can go with Clowney opposite of Mingo and that's a pretty good defensive front.

You could probably still grab a decent QB later in the 1st round. Only other team out there that would probably be grabbing a QB early is Jax...and I guess maybe the Raiders if they don't stick with Pryor/Flynn.

Though, if there are any decent WR's in the 1st round, I would probably look to team up a QB/WR much like the Bengals did. Browns defense isn't that bad, and if you draft a QB, he needs guys around him that can catch the ball. Currently, none of their guys can either catch, or stay out of trouble long enough to get on the field.

I thought the draft nerds were all saying that Clowney is a once in a lifetime prospect. There's no way to pass that up.

To be fair, all the draft nerds also declared Suh to be a once-in-a-lifetime prospect...... And he's just a punk with an average impact.

There's a once in a lifetime prospect every draft.

Andrew Luck! Yeah, he's good. He's nothing special, though.

Who was it for 2013? Oh yeah...that was the exception year. everyone sucked ass in this years draft.

I don't think Clowney is the #1 overall. Any team that wins in the NFL has a good QB. It is a must. Clowney is a top 5 pick, but no GM is thinking they're going to build a winning team for the next 10 years around a DE.

I know it's early in the CFB season, but have you seen Clowney play this year?

There have been plenty of 'can't miss' college D linemen who have not panned out in the NFL. Just off the top of my head I can think of

Glenn Dorsey
Courtney Brown
Gaines Adams
DaQuan Bowers

I know very little about him and haven't watched him for a minute. My recollection was that the talking heads were hyping the kid and he was already installed as the sure-fire #1 pick.

I don't doubt for a minute he will be a top 10 guy, but I would be more than shocked if he is 1 overall.

I've also only watched Teddy Bridgewater once in my life.....I'm sure it was against UC. I have no idea why everyone loves him so much. He plays in the Big East (or whatever its called now) for f@#@ sakes.

Bridgewater...even if he's not the best player in the draft he plays by far the most important position. Hey Hokie, whats up with David Wilson?

He was awesome v. Florida. I'm a fan. He's no Andrew Luck but he's legit.

I'm guessing Bridgewater is 1 overall at this point, as well. My post at the end of the last page was alluding to a QB being taken first.

And DW needs to get his act together. Ball security was one of his biggest issues coming out of college, and Coughlin doesn't take to kindly to guys that put it on the ground. If he fumbles again, I'm sure he'll be on the bench for weeks. The NYG run blocking has been pretty embarrassing so far, though. I don't see anyone they bring in being a better option than him at this point.
