If he isn’t picked up this season, he will be next year’s Russell Wilson. Sign for the vet’s minimum for the opportunity to compete for a starting job.
Jones will have offsets in his 2024 contract that should cap his 2024 earnings with another team to vet minimum. He is free to sign any contract for any amount with any team for 2025. He should be a more attractive option than Darnold or Minshew were this year. The market will increase alongside the salary cap and QB demand will be higher with potential retirements and few high prized prospects in the Draft. Jones is probably a $13M+ option for someone in 2025...and there's no rush.

This guy absolutely delusional

He’s gonna play for an playoff team and expects to play a big role?

He sucked for the worst team in league, showed no signs that it was anyone but his own fault and he’s sayin this? WTF
well. When you watch the Giants today. Dont think we can say it was "all" his fault :heh:

I don't even know these two teams back-ups so this could be good for them
Josh Johnson in Baltimore and he about to collect social security pretty soon.....LOL.

Nick Mullens in Minnesota.....SMH.

This is the state of backups in the NFL.

No reason for him to be an active roster back-up. Your current back-up knows the system and has better timing and chemistry with the current players. PS players are still FAs who are free to sign somewhere else. It's a temporary 2-way coaching situation with no strings.

I have a feeling he jumps Nick Mullins before the end of the year. He might even start if Sam Darnold blows it too hard.

He could jump past Mullens if he can pick up the play book quickly enough. But Darnold has built up too much equity this season to be benched.

If you see Daniel Jones suit up in a playoff game, it's because of at least one injury. And the Vikings are in big trouble.
