The Cowboys should give him one of those 10-day contracts just so he could play against the Giants on Thanksgiving.

That would be funny as hell.

Raiders seems like the fit to me.
It’s gonna be hilarious if he signs with the Raiders and they get a few meaningless wins at the end of the season to take them out of the running for an actual real quarterback next year

Yeah, that was a fun game last night, especially the shot of Jameis throwing that conversion with his headgear dangling from his helmet. I'm actually pulling for him. It's always a great story when a guy gets a second chance and does well
Yeah I saw a bunch of beautiful still shots of that game this morning, nothing quite like snow bowls, they will always hit different.

I hope he works out for the Browns, or anything ever will work out for them.

I mean that’s pretty standard, I know it’s a dumb situation but as former NFL quarterbacks on social media have pointed out, the QB3 is pretty much always on the scout team defense in practice so it wasn't like Jones was handpicked to do this.

Not standard to put a franchise QB on scout team which was completely humiliating…..

Let me preface this with it won't happen but this would be hilarious.....the Cowboys sign Jones on Monday and start him vs the Gmen on Thursday.

Not withstanding the fact that I have been wrong with just about every football take on this site.
I see Jones playing much better in another system. But getting another starting job may be the hard part.

Pretty sure at the moment they benched him he was no longer a franchise quarterback, if he ever was realistically
Yeah, he never really was. Just too inconsistent.

The Giants should’ve moved on from Jones a while back - he had one okay season in 2022, that’s it. He hasn’t been impressive at all in his other seasons and he’s something of a turnover machine. I had a strong feeling he would be a huge bust when the G-Men drafted him in the top 10 back in 2019 - he was never even impressive in college and certainly not worthy of a top 10 pick.

At this point you might as well cut him and not pay him all that money to sit on the bench. Wonder how long till someone picks him up

I think most of us laughed when he was picked so highly. As an NFC East fan I was happy he had his best year in his contract year, thus forcing the hand of a divisoinal rival.

But I have to believe he was demoted because he must have some kicker in his contract that will force them to pay him if he is injured. But putting him 3rd string they eliminate the need to use him in a game. But I am a bit surprised they didn't do this post June 1 to spread out the cap hit.
