Hey fuck you for mentioning my team. :heh: Now I can't mention them as a possible destination for Jones. Thanks.
Sorry Bro, should have left that for you. I did put my own team in there, so I thought maybe t's cool?

Yeah ya should of dammit! But if my team picks him up I'm done with them the rest of the season.

The scary thing for me is with that scumbag Watson out for the season that idiot owner Haslam just might go after him.

That would be great. The cowboys are almost playing as bad as the giants that jones may be an upgrade
Almost? I think they are worse right now

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been vocal about his respect for Daniel Jones. After Dallas’ recent 20-15 win over the Giants, Jerry praised the team and their quarterback. “I was very impressed with the Giants. I thought their quarterback was better than I thought he was,” Jones remarked during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan. Such words fuel speculation, especially now that the Cowboys are in need of a reliable QB after Dak Prescott’s season-ending injury.

Cowboys fans reading this Jerry Jones-Daniel Jones media speculation right now:

But I have to believe he was demoted because he must have some kicker in his contract that will force them to pay him if he is injured. But putting him 3rd string they eliminate the need to use him in a game. But I am a bit surprised they didn't do this post June 1 to spread out the cap hit.

That's the basic truth about his contract. If he gets injured, the Giants would owe him serious money. But, the devil is in the details. Does it only happen for an in-game injury? Does a practice injury count? A lawn mower injury?

He might get picked up as a backup for cheap money. My guess is, that's what he's hoping for.

When I saw this story, I was having breakfast in a bar. It was on the Pat McAfee show, which seems to be on something called PMSLIVE.

He’s so ass the Giants are eating $20M in Cap without blinking an eye

He needed to go, but kind of disgraceful how he got treated at the end…..on scout team defense in practice?
well it is really the only move. They free up a roster spot. They were gonna pay him regardless & this is the only way to assure themselves avoiding the injury clause. They werent gonna be able to allow him in the building to trip on the rug & get injured.
The release is good for both him & the Giants.

And in the end - they are getting off of some significant cap effects as well. As you say - good for both.
