what I got from reading this was that the refs check the balls during the games if so then its on the refs to me .. someone didnt do their job properly then ..because it should have been caught before it became a problem

Periodically doesn't mean every play so there is an opportunity for balls to be non-compliant for periods in the game.

Here's a theory. Defensive back makes an interception, tells Colts equipment manager he suspects the ball is deflated. Equipment manager checks and finds the ball is fine but deflates it to prove their case and to continue their griping, bitching and moaning to the league.

He stated the Pats had the TV at CBS Scene set up so the Pats sideline could see it, but not the opposing team. Only one problem, the TV in question isn't visible from the sidlines, the pedestrian bridge is in the way.

I don't blame the news guy for reporting it. It's a story and that's his job. I think it's sequence through the Colts that's galling. 2 balls out of 12 is not a conspiracy considering they feel the need to check for it all the time.

It seems like there are more than a few folks who almost want the story to hold water. Even if/when it’s ruled that the Pats had done nothing wrong, there are going to be the trolls/conspiracy theorists who will show up claiming there’s was some sort of a cover-up that took place.
