Do Your Job!
I’m not expecting Maye to be day 1 starter.Mayo did when he took him at #3. Generally speaking when a team takes a QB that high the expectation is he will be the day one QB1
Brissett looking very good fortunately…..

Not saying he will be, just stating that is the media expectation. You take a QB that early it's b/c you need a QB1, I am all for QB1 being the guy that won the jobI’m not expecting Maye to be day 1 starter.

Baby stepsI’m not expecting Maye to be day 1 starter.

They could but it's based on a lot of things, new HC, new coordinators, lot's of rookies and players stressing about taxes. So … some talking heads have the Pats vying for 1st overall pick in 2025? Sounds a bit exaggerated. Buckle down with an already good defense and a better-than-last-year offense (not hard to do), limit mistakes and turnovers, and they could pull off 8-9 wins, IMO.
Boredom in the NFL media spurns another shit show.
Sports Illustrated conducted a poll of all of the NFL beat writers.....
What is the best Coach/Quarterback combo in 2024
#32 Jerrod Mayo/Drake Maye
Jeezuuzzz...................Who declared Maye the starting QB? Gimme a break.
Mayo did when he took him at #3. Generally speaking when a team takes a QB that high the expectation is he will be the day one QB1
Unless I missed it, it doesn't define where these QBs were taken. Again Maye was taken at #3 and while I am not saying he should be QB that is the expectation from the mediaHistory of NFL QBs waiting to start: Here's what stats since 2000 say about when they'll most likely succeed
How much do QBs' fortunes rise or fall based on how long they sit? Let's dive into the stats of 91 QBswww.cbssports.com
Interesting article.
We just signed David Wallis pretty sure we are set nowBrandon Aiyuk did not report to 49ers and its no secret he wants a big contract - BIG!
He starts incurring fines tomorrow. Reporters are naming WR needy teams.
He would be a #1 but very expensive. (thanks Jefferson)
Trade value is 2 early draft picks and he would need $20 million+ in pay??????
That wasn't my point. I wasn't debating, agreeing or disagreeing. And I don't mean that in a confrontational way.Unless I missed it, it doesn't define where these QBs were taken. Again Maye was taken at #3 and while I am not saying he should be QB that is the expectation from the media
We have enough #2 WR's I don't want a #1...Brandon Aiyuk did not report to 49ers and its no secret he wants a big contract - BIG!

Slow white guy under 6' with good hands? We just signed David Wallis pretty sure we are set now
Oddly enough, I agree. We have not had much luck with divas! We have enough #2 WR's I don't want a #1...

Again this is asinine. We have not completed OTAs, Pre Season Practice or games and until we hear it from Mayo and not the media it should still be considered openJacoby Brissett remains No. 1 QB in New England as Patriots make clear they don't intend to rush Drake Maye
The Patriots have no intention of rushing Maye into a starting role before they believe he's ready.sports.yahoo.com
Well, that's pretty much what I read.Again this is asinine. We have not completed OTAs, Pre Season Practice or games and until we hear it from Mayo and not the media it should still be considered open
