You can't draft Melton and put him on the ps, he'll be gone. There's no room for Barely CRappe

If Maye is ready to backup at QB by start of season, you will be correct, Zappe will be gone.
If Maye is not ready, he will not be thrown in. We'll need Zappe on the roster.
My opinion is that throwing Maye in prematurely will be worse for him than starting him out at #3 - for awhile......

I agree. Brisett will be the starter regardless of how camps and the start of the season goes. Mayo witnessed first hand what happened with Mac.

But, I think Zappe is gone. Like BK said I don't see NE holding onto to 4 QBs. Someone has got to go. A lot of hype for Milton, so if those reports are right I doubt NE releases him.

No. Especially at that price. The D is solid. Sure he'd be a nice fit opposite Gonzo.

I think NE needs to go find a LT or G now that Cole is out till midseason. Spend there if they're still not willing to spend all that cap $ they have.

Zolak thinks Milton looks like shit and won't make it according to an article I ran across this morning.

I saw a video of all four QB's practicing yesterday and I thought Zappe looked the weakest on those particular drills.

They did that with Michael Bishop who was Bledsoe's backup. Bledsoe had a cannon but I guess Bishop's arm was stronger.

I am not to worried about Milton, if he makes it cool if not he's a 6th round pick no loss IMO. I cannot see the Pats carrying 4 QBs so someone will be the odd man out.

IMO...

Milton and Maye have similar skill sets. If Maye goes down for any extended period the rest of the offense does not need to re adapt to a different skill set and playing style.

Zappe doesn't have the arm and athleticism that Maye and Milton have.

Again, my opinion, Zappe is practicing for his career right now, but it will prove to be futile.

Rumor has it that Cook has been speaking on several occasions with Jerod Mayo and there may be some interest considering how little the NYJ used him and then cut him so the Ravens could pick him up for the playoffs.

The Jets decided to go mainly with Breece Hall and let Cook watch from the sidelines. Cook says his legs and body are in great shape and he's ready to do whatever he's asked.

Could be a cheap and solid RB just like EE was in 2023.
