So I guess we're sticking with Chirinos and Corpy-type players at catcher for the forseeable future. I don't get it, but whatever.
i don't either maybe they're going after Wieters or Avila in the off-season

Haha. JD really, really seems infatuated with National League pitching.
He didn't seem to have a problem with it when he acquired Uehara and Lee, but since then he sure seems to. It seems to really limit your possibilities if you decide to not deal with an entire league. He didn't mind trading for a position player in Prince from the AL. I really think he has an affinity of some sorts with NL pitching. I guess it could just be a huge coincidence.A lot of teams prefer to not trade within their respective leagues. Just depends on which teams are dealing.
Ege was getting it done in the minors. Telis for Sam...ok. Why the need to throw in Ege?

Not sure who the starter and backup catchers are at each level of our minor league system.
Appreciate that. I guess the guys to keep our eyes on are possibly Nicholas but he has only thrown out 27% of base stealers, and Burg, Carabello and Trevino. Deglan has some pop but that is at High Desert. Saw where we are trying to move the High A ball team back to the Carolina league.AAA - Brett Nicholas, JT Wise
AA - Alex Burg, Patrick Cantwell
A+ - Kellin Deglan, Oliver Carabello, David Lyon, Kevin Torres
A- -Jose Trevino, Chuck Moorman, Marcus Greene Jr.
I know Nicholas bc he's a solid hitting catcher, and he's been in the system a while, Kellin Deglan bc he was a 1st round or comp pick a couple years ago and hasn't really progressed with the bat much, and Jose Trevino bc he's put up solid offensive numbers in Hickory, I believe Deglan is solid defensively but I odn't know much about any of the other guys
Trevino was the only one that cracked our top 30 and he came in at 28, and only after all the guys that were traded are removed
Hopefully Trevino develops quickly bc he's our only hope for a homegrown catcher anytime soon
we don't seem to have many other options
WTF was JD doing on this last trade for Dyson? Don't see it at all

Nobody likes that trade from what I've seen, giving up Telis for a mediocre NL bullpen RHP is foolish
