@aandro: Rangers add Jim Adduci and send Matt West down.

Small, but necessary and needed step. Adduci certainly played well in ST, and his limited action here before he got injured.

Now, we've got to get the other Beltre here and send either Gimenez or JPA out. My bet is it'll be Gimenez.

Choo in RF, Adduci in LF. Interesting. Robertson played well last night. Why not let him play and sit Choo's ass on the bench.

You do realize the other Beltre is hitting 106.

Beltre has been on the disabled list because of a fractured right tibia and has not run well in the minors. In 12 games with Round Rock and Double-A Frisco, Beltre did not attempt a stolen base, and his time to first base was 4.6 seconds. When healthy, Beltre gets to first in 4.1 seconds. He was also hitting only .137 for 51 at-bats.
The first step is causing problems for Beltre, manager Ron Washington said. There is none of the previous explosiveness. “The guy has something in his leg,” Washington said. “We’ll try to help him work some of the kinks. He may not be get back to what his speed was, but it’s better than that.”

This doesn't sound promising at all. I knew he wasn't hitting well, but didn't know his biggest asset is gone.

Because he played well. Sorry Justin, couldn't help myself. Result of past observations.

I wish you this wasn't the case, but it happens all to often with Wash. I am interested to see CHoo in RF because he absolutely blows in LF. There will be a bunch of 1st to 3rd with his noodle arm, but the opponent was doing that on Rios anyways.

Rios might be traded soon.

Actually I was wishfully thinking and was remiss b/c I knew he wasn't running well and his future appears cloudy at best for anyone.

I didn't hold him in high esteem, but was more hoping he'd at least get here and and continue with our grand experiment we'll call the season of 2014.

If Choo has a better arm than Adduci then this is totally frightening to begin with.

Chances are good they will surprisingly sweep us too...but we do have Yu starting one of the games...so Yankees take 3 of 4...

Good news about Yankee stadium is that you don't really need 3 great OF since it is so damn small. If the ball if over their head it's a homer anyway.

I'm going out on a limb by saying Mikolas will get the W tonight! I have to DVR it, but I hope this kid progresses. He has good stuff.

Which offense will show up biggest, the pitching for both teams is ridiculed by injuries?

Let's go Yanks. Think this will be a closer series than people expect it to be. :suds:

If we're looking for another lefty to replace Matt, he is a solid pitcher. I think he's arbitration eligible next year.
