Disappointing night. It really does seem like we need to always score at least 4 runs to stay in the game.

As long as the Rangers can win today then I believe we can all be satisfied with taking the series from the Twins. Secondly the team has to stay within striking distance of the Astros.
This may a be a good week coming to gain on Houston playing home to the Whitesox and Royals. Astros play the Twins at home and travel to play the Athletics. Hoping by the end of next week the team is within 3 of first place.
At some point the team has to make a move to get closer and this week coming seems to be a good opportunity.

Early on they were getting good swings and they were falling in (or out), then they were getting hard hits balls right at people. Then, once the Twins got those 2 big innings and had 6 runs, the Rangers seemed to get discouraged and stopped trying to put together good ABs after the 5th

Langford looked especially clueless, at least Garcia hit a a couple balls well (right at people)

I checked and we are dead last in BABIP, by a good margin no less, so there is a bit of unluckiness going on with the Rangers, but some of it is bad ABs as well

Rangers .265 (30th), LA Angels .272 (29th), 26 teams are at .280+

Funny enough, we're 1st in opposing team's BABIP (.266), so live by luck, die by luck, probably hence the 3/4 run record disparity

The offense has been looking much better the past week or so. Everyone is contributing. I mean Higgy had 5 RBIs in the 1st game of the series. I know we scored just 2 runs yesterday against a guy with an ERA over 5 but that was deceptive. Yesterday was just his 5th start and the 1st 3 were good then the 4th one he was blasted.

Just imagine if Seager gets hot.
