I hate the Angels...
If you remember the good teams from the 90's, the one offensive failing they had was impatience at the plate ( remember Gonzalez and Sierra flailing away at low outside pitches?). It just seemed to be an inherent Ranger problem. But our 2010 and 2011 teams showed good plate discipline. We worked counts and ran up pitch counts. In 2012 we digressed and 2013...well ...I guess I'm writing this because it is obvious that when this team practiced poor plate discipline, we under achieved...it's in our track record...We're getting into weird territory here. The offense being this bad is unexplainable. This is worse than the bad days of Seattle, Oakland, and TB offense. But it goes back to approach. If they're patient and dare the pitchers to throw strikes in the middle of the plate then eventually good things will happen.
