My bad man, It's hard to be a smart ass when writing. lol I'll try harder to drop some hints.
Why would Texas be interested in Smoak? We have Mitch at 1st, we need a starting pitcher and corner outfielder in that order.
JIMBO said:2. Texas Rangers (For Matt Garza)
LHP Robbie Ross and IF Drew Robinson
It would be difficult for the Rangers to part with Ross, who’s been an integral part of the Rangers’ bullpen the past two years. However, Garza would be a solid No. 2 starter between ace Yu Darvish and No. 3 Derek Holland and would greatly improve their chances of winning the AL West and advancing in the playoffs.
HAHA We just signed Manny to a minor league contract.
Gotta love Jim Bowden:
Dealing Ross would be exactly the kind of lateral move I was talking about
And Garza would be behind Holland, not in front
I'm not saying Garza wouldn't help, but not for Ross, if we're having to deal Ross to get Garza, you might as well just put Ross in the rotation instead
I agree. Here's the thing, garza would help this team. He's not a TORP, but he's not a lateral move either. He's the perfect guy to slot #3 behind holland or ogando in the rotation. He'd help this team a lot if the cost isn't too high, and if he doesn't cost any pieces integral to our success this year.
If the trade is for Ross, then it is a lateral move, thats my point, find some other pieces to supplement in
Well considering you are typing words, with no indication of sarcasm, I assumed you were stupid. You wouldn't want a 1st baseman who's hitting .245 with 13 RBIs and 6 HRs?

Dude, one of the worst trades in Mariner history, and there are a ton, was trading Cliff Lee to the Rangers for Smoak. That was the joke.
Any time its a Seattle fan (or anyone) mentioning Smoak, its implied that its sarcasm
Thanks for that btw.
Oh well maybe that should be put in the forum agreement info before you sign up, because I'm pretty sure I've seen dumber things said that were serious. lol I came from ESPN were people say dumb things all the time. Thanks for the heads up though.Any time its a Seattle fan (or anyone) mentioning Smoak, its implied that its sarcasm
