I agree, Darvish is due back soon and it looks like Ogando is on the same track. I just dont see Norris being worth it, I would rather keep Grimm out there and wait for the other guys to get healthy.

I agree with your general remark but man I sure do not want to see Grimm out there.

Sorry but for all you norris haters ANYONE is better than grimm or NT besides blanton

i agree wholeheartedly! even if only a couple of injured starters return to a decent form they take grimm and tepesh out of the rotation and are in turn also better than norris

Not since like noon. Last thing he said was it was basically done they were just finalizing a few smaller details. That's why I was so confused when the media was taking so long in putting it out there.

Grimm and Tep have actually been really good for us overall considering neither where supposed to still be up at this time. I actually think in a few years Grimm will be a solid number 3 or 4 pitcher. He has pretty good stuff he just gets a little shook up and gives up the big inning sort of like Holland did when he was a rookie. I do think what you have seen with Tep is pretty much what you are going to get though. It seems like we forget that these guys are still getting the feel for things. It's rare that rookie comes up and just blows everyone away. That being said, I understand the frustration, you really don't want as many guys "learning" to pitch on the MLB level in your starting rotation as the Rangers have at the moment.

One old report I just read (from like a week ago) said that the dodgers are pursuing him aggresively... like what the hell? Greinke Kershaw Ryu Nolasco and god knows who else. Your playoff rotation is freakin set. I swear some teams are like piranhas. That would be such a stupid trade for them.

one thing I can say about JD and the rangers is that at least we go after NEEDS. We're not going after second basemen right now or something like some teams seem to do

Geez man, thats significantly higher than he was throwing. I mean he was topping out at 92 and averaging around 88, and now mid 90's? lol thats ridiculous.

I live in Pittsburgh and was planning on going down to West Virginia when Hickory plays the Power on Aug 16-19 and see Edwards for myself but its not looking too good right now if he is traded or promoted by then.

I thought once they got Nolasco that was it. Who would they have as trade pieces? And I think those trade pieces need to be pitching and possibly a COF.

They're top pitching prospect, zack lee, is pretty good. He's outta mckinney high school. I'm sure they have at least a couple others, but he stands out

Apparently the rangers have a very strong suspicion they can resign garza after this season. One reason why they dont really see him as a rental

Oh.. and also the teams have exchanged medical records. This means that unless theres something medically wrong with someone, we got him

He texted me because earlier I asked him to keep me updated. I asked him about all the prospects we were giving up and why we were giving up that much and he said "We've been after him on many separate occasions now and our front office has gotten to know him pretty well. We wouldn't give up a lot if we didn't feel strongly that this is more than a 2 month player." Then he sent me another text that said "By the way, within the past hour we just gave them our medical information for theirs. This means that its done barring any last second medicinal flaws. Should be interesting now!"

Still don't know who we're giving up though. He doesnt either, strangely enough.
