Well if he wanted to resign with them then ya. I mean why else would you wanna sign with the cubs? Nothing that they have to offer is enticing, so he was attached to them and thought he wanted to spend his career there.

Well if Soriano is a part of the trade then I would think something else would have to happen because we have Martin in CF and Cruz in RF and a lot of guys to fill in LF and DH. (Murphy, Gentry, Baker, Berkman, Beltre-probably back to AAA, Soriano)

hmmm I wonder why the Nats would be interest in a rental like Garza... I mean they are pretty far out of it right now. I guess things are starting to look more positive again but I won't believe it till it is officially announced. But its starting to look like we might find out something during the game this evening given the medical reviews. I sure hope Soriano is not part of deal and if he is, that the Cubs eat that entire contract.

I am curious about that myself. I cannot imagine any of the players that have been mentioned having any issues.
