Yeah if I started it an hour or 2 ago it would've been great. Also maybe if it was slightly less ridiculous like if I said the Rockies or Padres.

Dempster was pitching way above his head and was a career NL pitcher. I wouldn't suggest gutting the farm for garza, but it will cost a little more.

Plus to me there was something lacking in the mental toughness with him where someone like Garza gives this air about him where he would be glad to bounce one off of the batter's coconut.

Whats up fellow ESPN ditchers and fellow Ranger fans! Who's ready for the 2nd half to start? It would be nice if they got Garza but rumor has it the Cubs are wanting Olt, Ramirez , and CJ Edwards. It would be awesome if the Ramirez they wanted was Manny and not Neil. Anyway, to me that seems like a lot for a rental but maybe if they can get him to sign an extension it would be worth it. I mean we didn't give up near that much for Dempster and he had a 2.25 ERA when we traded for him last season. What do you guys think?

I am not sure Olt can be the centerpeice of any deal with his overall performance so far this season. Everything I have read suggest Olt would be part of the deal even with Ramirez as the centerpiece. Honeslty, it might not be looking that great right now for this deal getting done. They seemed real close earlier and now there are some reports that say the deal could be moving in the other direction.

Ya Galloway is really really funny... personally though im more of a 1310 fan. They do a good job of not deterring from the topic. If its ever a dull day in the sports world i like galloway, but when i wanna get information or hear real opinions i listen to the ticket and norm.

norm is great! bad radio, the musers, and hardline are borderline useless on the sports talk front. i remember a few years ago gordon keith didnt even realize there was an nba team in charlotte (the bobcats) i know he's there for comedic purposes (which he is a funny dude) but come on! thats embarrassing!
