Trade complete, Garza is a Ranger. Waiting on it to become official and seeing who is involved. Rumor was Soriano was attached.
Hope that's right. Garza and Soraino could be a big boost down the stretch.

If he was pitching great then why would you be suprised if it was good? lol

Soriano would be nice, but if it sounds too good to be true than it probably is. If not, Soriano would have protection in the line up that he hasn't had in 8 seasons. Who knows what his numbers would be if he would have been on a decent team. I wanted Aoki, who would be our new #2 hitter, but I haven't heard anything progress on those talks.Hope that's right. At least this time he will not have a problem playing in the OF. And that will be interesting in how this affects Murphy, Profar, Gentry, Baker and Berkman.
The only issue with Soriano is he is still on the books next year for $18M. I still hope the Cubs are picking up at least half of that next year salary if the three reported prospects are on their way out.
If we do get Garza deal today, chances he starts Sunday?

I think that's why they were pushing the trade so hard.
He was supposed to start tomorrow for the cubs so I see no reason why not. If Soriano was apart of the trade, you can guarantee the cubs take a good amount of salary. The only issue with Soriano is he is still on the books next year for $18M. Add Manny to that list. I'm hoping we can flip Gentry or Murphy for another trade later. If Baker is back soon, not thrilled with Soriano back in a Ranges uni. I still remember his pouting ass out there not legging out base hits and turning doubles into singles. My ideal OF would be Baker in left, Cruz in Right, Gentry and Martin in CF. Profar back in AAA so he can play every day and backfill Olts spot. Berkman given a month to get his bat right and then parked on the bench.

Baker is back tonight, fyi. He and Gentry are both coming off the DL today.

of the names i've seen "mentioned".... CJ Edwards, Luke Jackson, Olt, Alfaro, Sardinas, Garcia, Mendez, Neil Ramirez
Soriano has been on a losing team almost every season of his career outside of a couple seasons with the yankees, I think his pouting is justified. He could come in here hungrier than ever with this team primed for another WS run.I think baker is expected to start tonight.
So Neil Ramirez will be the "key piece" in the trade. Hmmmmm.....
if this trade is Olt, Edwards, and Ramirez for just Garza then we just got raped.....hopefully we are getting something else back with Garza.
