I'm just hearing from the guy I work with who was somewhat involved lol.
good to keep guys like that close, keep us posted.
I'm just hearing from the guy I work with who was somewhat involved lol.
He says the deal is done but the rangers had to give up much more than their first offer from a couple of weeks ago. He said he thinks it 2 pitching prospects and olt, one of the prospects being neil ramirez. Fuck me I hope we dont give too much
I checked the rumors site, and it looks like its gonna be what I suspected. The only difference between that site and what I heard is that its done....
but 2 pitching prospects (neil ramirez and cj edwards) and olt. Not really worried about losing edwards. He was having a great year but his ceiling isnt very high. Ramirez hurts a little though
Holy crap. Its pretty crazy how that trade rumors site is on this. You really dont even need anyone close because everything ive been saying they immediately say lol. Actually in this case they beat me to it.
This will be a win for me if we resign garza. But we never can resign pitchers, so I'm hesitant to say we'll get him back
Would anyone pay this Price for Peavy? I don't think he's that much better than Garza or probably not at all.
Peavy is not better than garza. Not even close.
lonestarball fans think that getting Peavy would be way better upside. And that getting Garza is Horrible cause he has a career FIP of 4 even though his ERA has never been over 4 LOL
2 things.
1) Peavy can't stay healthy. No thanks.
2) When a guy has spent his entire career outperforming his peripherals, it might be time to move on from them. With our defense garza should be eem better.
I just noticed over Garza's last 3 years his K/9 has gone from 6.5 to 8, 8.5 each year and his xfip has been near the mid 3s
I m okay with losing Olt as he is the same shape as Profar and I am not completely sold on Neil Ramirez. CJ was pitching well but we seem to have some good prospects below AA. And adding Garza just gives a much better rotation than what we have been throwing out there. The Tribune is reporting the trade is close as well and that he is 5-0 with a 1.24 era in his last 6 starts. I knew he has been pitching great lately but did not realize it was good.
