It was in this same thread about 10 up, but here goes

I'd offer a package centered around guys like Luke Jackson, Roman Mendez, Wilmer Font, Justin Grimm, Hanser Alberto, Neil Ramirez or to step it up maybe even Luis Sardinas

Obviously not all of these guys in one trade, but these are the some guys I would consider in a fair package for Garza

Sardinas would obviously reduce the amount of OTHER talent that would be included in said trade

Hell I'd even consider Olt at this point, but his value just might be too low to give up on him now

Well apparently I missed it so would you appease me?

With Garza seeming to be the object of most people's affection

What are some trades some of you would offer up for this guy?

Romeo ... here's JTA's package

You'll have to come a bit up on Garza and a ways up on Rios... depends on what you mean by arm

I like your thoughts jta. I haven't really thought about what is deal for rios/cuddyer. I just know Murphy would be included.

Its a salary dump, but they'll certainly need a pretty good prospect or 2 to make it work, not Profar or Olt good, but good nonetheless

was thinking maybe one of the prospects that might not crack the bigs with our current projected starters

so if you arent yu,holland,harrison,perez.......ogando,feliz,ross(etc. bp arms) you could be expendable

i trust jd to make the right choice on a rental like garza

If you're talking about this year, might as well scratch Harrison/Feliz/Lewis off the list, especially since they're not even making rehab starts yet, until he starts that process they are a lost cause

Ogando might be an option, might not, at least he's made a rehab start and not as severely injured

Ross is in the bullpen, he won't sniff the rotation until next year

So Yu, Holland and Perez at this point, with Lindblom and Wolf making starts until we get someone else to fill the 5 hole, whether its in a trade or an injury guy

Point is, we need a #3 guy from outside the organization

As much as the Rangers pride movement in a fastball, I don't know how Grimm has made it this far with that straight as an arrow low-mid 90s fastball

Grimm is a #5 starter all the way. Maybe a #4 is he's lucky. Nice kid, but I'm not too worried about holding on to him.

wasnt talking this year.....talking future and threw in the bp arms also(dont think they will start)

just trying to say we got some arms that we can trade that we hopefully wont need if things go as planned..ie significant injuries

and we will still have depth to handle some injuries

He's got work to do for sure, some success in AAA might hep his value, but I have no issues trading him

profar 3rd, elvis ss, odor 2b is what your saying :D.......

Personally I've always thought Profar might end up at 3B long term

With Gallo being the only young 3B in the system, and he stinks defensively, then something creative needs to be done

No offense to Olt, but he's already 24 or so
