Man, I can’t believe how far both Duran and Taveras have fallen. They both were hitting over their heads for a while there, but the drop-off shouldn’t have been this steep. We’re lucky if we get 1 hit per night between the 2 of them.

With all of the attention to analytics in baseball, depending a lot more on mathematics than ever, isn't it about time we quit referring to games above .500 as a measure of success, without regard to how many games have been played. Lol

The pitching has been pretty good on this road trip I’d say. The lineup hasn’t done as well as I’d hope. We just don’t hit nearly as well on the road as we do at the globe.

rangers have a 5-18 record at this park all time if you include the playoffs. Getting the win tonight was great, I’d be thrilled to get 1 more and get home with a 4-2 trip.

We are only 2 games behind the Orioles for the top seed in the AL.

Orioles aren’t scaring anyone. They have 4 starting pitchers with an ERA over 4 (Flaherty, Gibson, Rodriguez, Kremer) and only one batter with an average over .270 (Rutschman), and their Run Differential is worse than the Cubs’.

They have the AL’s best record because of two unsustainable numbers - record in 1-run games, and converted holds/saves by their bullpen (which, even as good as their bullpen is, is not sustainable).

The AL Central is a sad joke, and the AL East has been sputtering a bit since the AS break and especially the trade deadline, hovering around .500. Rays are killed with injuries, Blue Jays and Red Sox are just sort of lingering without gaining any ground, and the Yankees are a mess.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see the AL West get the #1 seed and the #1 WC spot as well when all is said and done.
