It could also be that they have another move in mind and are saving Miller's change of status for that. Hard to tell.

I don’t know there are more moves ahead and he could stay up for expanded rosters but there is no way he is on a playoff roster

Have to think it’s Crim or Foscue but I’m intrigued by Davis Wendzel. Not hitting for average but has 21 homers in 90 games

I think if Duran continues to have problems at the plate not just if he went down they might consider Wendzel at 3rd

Duran hit .186 in 19 games in July and is hitting .136 in 9 games in August

being on the 60 day doesn't remove him from the 40 man roster. Bubba was DFA'd to open up a spot on the 40 man.

It opens a spot on the 40 when a player goes on the 60 just like deGrom, Odorizzi and Martin are the 60 . We are carrying 43 on the 40-man because they only count as being on the 60

Best prospect, best bat this year, or hottest bat?

Foscue is the best ranked prospect, but Crim has been a better hitter this year.

Crim is 15 for his last 39 with 5 doubles and 2 HR.

Sandro Fabian has been on fire this month. 12 for 29; 2 doubles and 4 HR.

On a smaller scale, Davis Wendzel is 5 for his last 11, with 3 HR, 1 double, and 7 walks.
