Hopefully, the backend of the bullpen looks a lot better as well.

They brought Pillar in to play against LH pitchers. Last year he only hit .173 against RH pitchers.

Leody only hit .239 against RH pitchers last year, himself.

By that same token, Josh Smith hit LH pitchers ten points better than Leody, so i would rather see him out there.

Somehow, they fell in love with Leody's Joey Gallo imitation in ST and want to play him.

I like Pillar a lot too but playing the percentages and with a small sample size Leody is 2-3 with a HR vs Houck.

Understand the percentages but playing Leody over time will cost us more than he will help. Truth is, I think he should be gone so he would not be a drag on this team. Very disappointing to think he will hang on another season.

I think Carter's health and slow start has slowed his departure
I bet Osuna is in the mix next season

That catch by Langford goes to show how a young pitcher can actually improve in ERA when he comes up to the big leagues. In the minors that would have scored a couple of runs, and maybe led to more. The better defenders in the big leagues can make a big difference.
