So Acker is in relief now, as well. I guess the Rangers have decided they only want veteran reclamation projects to serve as starting pitching depth on this team. I tell you, I just don't get their logic.

They didn't have an excellent velo on Carter's first inning line out. His third inning single was hit a little over 106 mph. Later he had a ground out that he hit that hard, as well.

Josh Smith was in good spirits postgame. Said his collision kind of gave him a “dead leg” and agreed w/ Bochy’s day to day assessment.

FWIW: Bochy said pregame that Duran may start at third tomorrow, so this could be a convinient day off for Smith.

Jung's stiff neck reminds me of the time I was finally going to get to see Darvish pitch in person. When we got to the ballpark they announced Darvish couldn't pitch because of a stiff neck. Instead of Darvish, we got Feldman. What a disappointment.

Hopefully we get vintage deGrom - 6 innings, 2 runs allowed, 8-9 strikeouts.
Also some bombs from Burger, Seager, Semien and Pederson.

Yeah that's what Iam afraid of. I thought he would hit 30 + hr but not being out 25% percent of the time
