Do we honestly only have 1 hit against a reliever with an almost 6 ERA? Look at his recent game log. Seriously. Teams have been battering this spare and Oakland all but forfeited this game by starting him. And we have 1 lousy hit off him through 3 innings. This is the lowest point for our offense this season. This is worse than the 23-inning scoreless streak. At least that was done against major league pitching.

Hey, at least we've lowered his batting average against to .303. That's right. It was actually higher.

Evan Grant is guaranteeing that if the A's allow Triggs to face the Rangers lineup a third time through that it will get ugly for Oakland very quickly. I'm not sure what he's seen out of this offense over the last 4 games other than the one inning last night which would make him say that.

I guess we'll see.

Offense aside, I really hope tonight was the final nail in Lucas Harrell's Rangers coffin. I'd rather roll the dice and hope for luck with Nick Martinez again than watch Harrell struggle to throw strikes for another single inning.
