To me, if Huff was going to be moved to 1B then we had no business trading for Lowe. Once they traded for Lowe they committed themselves to Huff at catcher. If they are not committed to Huff staying at catcher for the next 3 or 4 years, then the Lowe trade was a colossal blunder even if we hadn't of overpaid for him.
Huff's knee injury and subsequent lost year behind the plate probably will have something to do with his eventual move to 1B in my opinion, that might not have been the plan for them (it was always what I thought), but I don't think they're going to risk his knees and bat forcing him to stay behind the plate, not mention there's always a DH spot

I can see that of the injury is not expected to be fully recovered from.
He really needs to hit a lot better in the last month or his prospect status will suffer in the eyes of many.

Reading his strikeouts n Ed to come down. Yes his market is waning a little but perhaps it will turn around

I don't think I would bring in more than a couple or maybe 3 this offseason. I think the Rangers plan to bring in more than that.
yeah i expect we'll see the usual flock of level 4 & 5 FA's when we should be putting our prospects on the field. but we will announce that we're interested in X, Y & Z from the top 20 FA's and will make low-ball offers

Just remember, when I mention bringing in free agents that I am not talking about what you call level 4 and 5 free agents.

Pirates with a comeback. An 8 run 7th puts them up 11 to 7.

i understand that. it is just that that has been the hallmark of the last few years of the JD period. initially low-ball offers to 1 or 2 top level FA;s every off season and then when they go elsewhere. sign 5 or 6 low level FA's and then hold a presser where the team talks about how good they feel about the upcoming season. hope CY does something different but i don't have high hopes

Who should the Rangers have signed that they didn't in the last few years?

Just catching up. Baltimore won big, Arizona winning, Pittsburgh winning and we’re losing. Bring up that standings chart again, Bennie

Is there a reason why Dennis Santana hasn’t been DFA’d other than the fact he’s being used to guarantee the Rangers will end up having the worst record in baseball.

Saddles just posted the standings. We’re almost in 2nd place and you want to DFA him?
Come on man

Some might say Castellanos but he got an opt out clause so really glad they didn’t do that contract
