Nomar Mazara collected three singles and a walk for El Paso. He signed with San Diego in mid-March after spending eight months without a job. Mazara's hitting .340/.442/.576, which has to be downgraded in the context of where he plays, but on the other hand, he's also hitting well in the PCL's small number of pitcher-friendlier parks. Perhaps he'll get another shot, as the Padres aren't getting much from their outfield and DH spots right now. Had potential been achieved, Mazara would be in his walk year as a Ranger, gearing toward a free agent contract at the age of 27, or perhaps he'd already signed to an extension. Mazara is younger than Willie Calhoun and Nick Solak
Had no idea he was that young.

I know this is crazy, but I don’t want to trade Perez if he keeps pitching this well. would be nice to have him on the team for a few more years.

I was thinking the same thing. He just turned 31. Should have a few more good years in him. If he finishes the season healthy and well It would be cool to re sign him

Because FO does not want to while he is productive. Perception if they did would be that they dont care about this year and this will decrease fan attendance
at the end of the season, we will have to decide whether to pick up his club option or not. i would say not and move on to our prospects. so maybe to get something at the trade deadline would make better sense

i agree but if it slows down our prospects moving up then maybe we will have no choice but to move on from him or Gray

True and you might add Dunning to the list. That will not leave much room for prospects

perhaps but i still believe Dunning may have a place in the rotation as a 4th or 5th starter. same with Hearn

Someone will have to go to make room for prospects especially if we keep Perez Gray Dunning and Hearn. I think Gray because of injury history but who knows.
