I agree. There's a huge difference between criticizing obvious bad decisions and calling for the team to replace him while we're in the middle of a deep playoff run and pretending like he's some scrub. By all means criticize him when he makes a dumb decision - I've criticized him a bunch - but keep it rational.

When did I ever say I wanted them to replace Bochy today? Is everyone here drunk tonight?

The question was posed whether we wanted Bochy back as manager. I said no and listed the countless mistakes he’s made as proof. I never said fire the guy today.

When did I ever say anything about not being allowed to bring in Chapman? Using Chapman once in the 8th inning is not the same thing as pitching him on back to back nights in the 9th inning.

We should have no issues with Chapman in the 8th inning on a couple days rest - yes obviously he is not good back to back anymore.

Not sure why this board is suddenly acting as if Bochy’s handling of the bullpen hasn’t been a major problem all year long. Going to the ALCS automatically erases all of his preventable gaffes?

I will remind you that in every one of those instances, Bochy was called out board-wide as the move was being made, not after the fact. I will also remind you that his moves have been openly questioned by the likes of Nadel, Newberg, Sandler, and Grant- all typical Rangers homers.

I never said every last decision Bochy has made has been wrong. But his multiple mistakes have been of the preventable variety. Remember, this was the EXACT complaint Giants fans had about him.

He has made a lot of mistakes along the way. I just know he isn't going anywhere so they need to help him out with a lot better pen.

You want an example of me not blaming Bochy? Right here and now. No reason for Chapman to be blowing this. Not Bochy’s fault. He can’t throw the pitches for Aroldis. He’s rested and he’s being used 100% correctly- huge lead in the 8th inning. Zero blame on Bochy.

This is not on Bochy. If he put another pitcher in there and he doesn't do his job then again we blame Bochy. 6 run lead. This is on Chapman.

Poor choice of words on my end. I know that's not what you were saying. Just think it's silly to want to replace him (after the season) since we're about win our second straight playoff series, and considering the fact this team has barely tasted any playoff success during the entirety of it's existence. I think Bochy botched the bullpen in the regular season, but he's done a much better job so far in the postseason, IMO. I'd like to see what he would do next year with more talent in the pen.
