Amen brother.To be fair, I am a product of the very early 50's. That said I want to stick with your "We're just an assortment of different flavored jelly beans tossed in a bowl" analogy. When we can get to the point where the only two points that matter in the same are;
1. We're all just jelly beans (flavors don't matter)
2. In the same bowl
Maybe the division and hatred will stop and the focus will be that of a great people (inclusive) doing great things for and not against one another.
Post Super Bowl question. The Patriots with Bill and Tom are now 5-3 in the Super Bowl. Many consider them the best ever. Do you agree? They are one win away for tying for most Super Bowl victories ever and one loss away from tying for the most losses.

I think we throw out GOAT every 10-15 years. No doubt Sty is right when talking about comparing eras but Pittsburg and San Fran were so damned good. What about the Packers of the 60s? None of them had the losses. Those losses take luster off to me.
Not to mention they lost to a backup yesterday.

Except in those eras it was always the same teams succeeding. Free agency and the salary cap leveled the field. So to continually be in the big game, every year, is an accomplishment, even if you only win 60% of the time.
I already said it is apples to oranges as Sty mentioned. Everyone is playing under the same rules since FA began. Before that everyone was playing under the same rules and had the same opportunities as San Fran, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Washington and Dallas. Hell Gibbs won with three different QBs and three different RBs. We'll just have to agree to disagree. Lombardi was 9-1 in championship games and he lost his first one to the Eagles. Knoll 4-0. Gibbs 3-1.
I’m in complete argreement!I like the new ruling right up until it hurts the Redskins Cali and then I want to revert to the old ruling.
