No brainer. Could even be our starting LG:
Report: Cowboys plan on picking up Joe Looney’s option even as Travis Frederick returns to health

Torn on this one. I guess if Beasley is gone it makes some sense, but I probably would not pick up the option on Hurns. Disclaimer I think he has a lot more to give than they asked of him and I think they wasted him so if there is a desire to get him more involved I think this could pay off for us.
Report: Cowboys expected to pick up WR Allen Hurns option for 2019
Love the Looney deal, WTF on Hurns. I have to admit, if I'm DLaws agent and I see the money we are tying up for Hurns, Witten and Lee, I'm asking for $22-23 minimum

I get the idea of filling out a roster and I get the quality of individuals we are talking about and the possible upside...BUT...doesn't that group = Earl plus another player? I'm not saying I want them to run the team like NE with no loyalty to players, but there is a reason NE is still going strong other than just Brady and Belichick

The Pats traded for Michael Bennett, I wouldn't want that idiot but am glad to see him out of Philly, the Giants got a heck of a guard for Oliver Vernon, but Vernon has KILLED us in the past

Didn't see that about Bennett. So Philly loses Bennett and Jernigan and Long may retire? I guess they still have a lot of talent there, but Ngata seems about done at this point

Hurns officially exercised

ALLEN HURNSWR, DALLAS COWBOYS

Cowboys exercised Allen Hurns' 2019 option.
Last month, Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said he expected Hurns to stick on the roster, so this is not a surprise. The receiver is now scheduled to make $5 million in 2019 before heading to free agency next spring. Hurns suffered a grisly ankle injury in the Wild Card round, but there is hope he will be ready to return during training camp.

Hurns in the slot for 5M seems better than beasley wanting 20M guaranteed
Kinda what I was thinking.
Picking up his option. On one side is cool of the Cowboys, so he can continue rehab with the Cowboys. But it also tells me they plan on losing Beasley.
I was concerned he may never be the same player after where he injured his Ankle.

Gruesome injury and will be a tough rehab, if he gets back to close to what he was. I don't think Beasley gets 20 million and I would hope the Cowboys wouldn't offer anything close. Best of luck to him though

Sean Lee Team Player

Lee will earn $3.5 million in 2019, but has the opportunity to earn his way back through incentives to the $7 million in base salary originally owed to him, Rapoport added.

Great news on Lee, but he was pretty likely to be cut if he didn't so not sure how altruistic it was

Jerry loves certain players and Lee fits that bill....not sure he was likely cut and prefer to think he did the team thing.

Dallas benefits greatly on all fronts and a motivated Lee is a good thing

Maybe. I could be making assumptions based on rumors. Regardless it is good for this team no doubt to have Sean Lee at a lower price. It's a win/win

Would have liked for the Cowboys to check on Jamison Crowder to replace Beasley before the Hurns deal.

Malik Jackson to Philly hurts. I knew we probably wouldn't be players for him but would rather he not sign with a rival.

I'm not sure I agree. He is a good player and would have made some sense at Dallas, but I like the idea of the Eagles spending $10M on a position where they are already strong. They have bigger problems than this and limited $'s to spend. I think this was a bad move by Philly. It's not like they got him for a bargain or anything. I'm not sure he is even worth that salary on a team that has a weakness that he fills, let alone for Philly.
