Is Todd Haley worth the potential vs the strife his arrogance would cause?
He would be fantastic, and a little strife would help the offense IMO. I don't care if he's a dick, he knows what he is doing. Too comfy around here under JG

MAN...what a disappointment that would be.

Makes me wonder how he could say that at this time when everyone knows that's Jerry's call.

Shoot....kick him to the curb as well and hire the Kris as head coach and bring Kubiak in as OC

I loved watching Kris get in the grill of our LB's Saturday night for not stepping up.

Have to say...it was #55's worst game of the season

biggest problem with this team remains the coaches don't scout themselves and their tendencies

Garrett, hopefully, cooked his own goose by speaking when not told to. One can only hope. I dont think Cowboy fans would shed one tear for Garrett getting fired. No more clapping seel on the sidelines.

That along with their inability to make in game adjustments is frustrating as hell. Goes back to my grandson’s HS coach and his mantra that his job was to put his players in a position to succeed every play... not just every game. He was terrific at sensing patterns and tendencies and adjusting on the fly. I haven’t gotten the sense that this staff has a clue on how to do that.

The youngest team in 31 years to make the playoffs has a real shot to contend next season. Besides looking for a new OC, the first order of business will be our own FA's. Here are the Cowboys who are now out of contract

DeMarcus Lawrence - Highest priority, great player and leader, must resign
Cole Beasley - Love this player and he can still play, but will have to be the right deal for the club IMO
Geoff Swaim - Good player, but with Jarwin and Schultz playing well, will have to be the right deal as well
Tavon Austin - Would be nice to have him, but at what price? Either/or with him and Beasley IMO
L.P. Ladouceur - Sure
Cam Fleming - Will have to come cheap
Damien Wilson - Had a nice season, can't spend big money on him though
Rod Smith - Must come cheap, or like Fleming and Wilson, could be replaced in the draft
David Irving - Whatever you were going to give this turkey should go to the Earl Thomas fund
I think we need to resign Austin and then we need to actually use him correctly. We just don't seem able to utilize that type of player properly. Plus he did more in the punt return in a couple games than everyone else did most of the year. I like Swaim too. I hope we resign him unless we bring in a player there (FA or Draft). And I always find a place for Beasley.

'Real chance' Bucs release DT Gerald McCoy
5599.jpg

ESPN Bucs reporter Jenna Laine believes there's a "real chance" Tampa Bay releases DT Gerald McCoy this offseason.

McCoy has three years left on his contract but has no guaranteed money remaining, and the Bucs can save $13 million against the cap by cutting him. McCoy turns 31 next month, but his production has remained steady. McCoy has at least six sacks in six straight seasons and received strong marks for his run defense in 2018. The Bucs have a ton of key free agents and may need the money freed up in order to sign those players, specifically LT Donovan Smith.

We wouldn't give up 270+ on the ground with this dude in the middle. Much as I'd love to see him in Big D, and a great fit at that, I think Collins and Woods at a combined $1.3 million next year will be the starters with help coming from the draft

So with pick #180 in the 2000 NFL draft the Dallas Cowboys selected Mario Edwards. What could have been...:pout:

Why would we need to pick Tom Brady in 2000 when we were able to start Quincy Carter as a rookie in 2001?

I love Beasley but he has been talking more and more shit all year long. Going on 30 and getting a bigger mouth by the day, maybe I am ready to move on from him after all. He's kind of been an asshole for a good part of this year. We have Cooper and Gallup as our top two and I like to see Austin play a role a bunch of plays a game with his unique skill set. I would like Beasley back but now kind of feel like if he isn't wanting it then I'm not worried about finding another guy to slot in there in his place.

Cole Beasley - WR - Cowboys
Tweeting on Tuesday, impending free agent Cole Beasley posted that the Cowboys' front office "pushes who they want to get the ball to" and said his role will be a bigger factor than money when deciding where to sign.

"More balls come my way in two-minute drill where nothing is planned," Beasley frustratedly said of his Cowboys usage. It certainly sounds like he will be moving on unless the Cowboys offer a lot more money than anyone else. Going on 30, Beasley's 65 catches in 2018 were the second most of his career.

Wishing him well with future endeavors and future teams. Because comments like that one pretty much seal his departure.

I dont think it matters if we wanting him to go. I think he is ready to move on.

On a side note. I dont think Austin can replace him. I think we will have to go find another 3rd down specialist.

Well Cole has been a pretty nice player for the Boys since he decided he wanted to play football. However his mouth is moving I. The Terrell Owens direction and IMHO that dog don’t hunt for the Cowboys. Cole should look back on how that worked for Crayton another good but not great player from the past. I have no ill will toward Cole but Good Luck going forward in your career

I totally agree. What Beasley does is hard to duplicate.

Bease likely gone after those comments. I see his as an aging player and we cant afford him going forward and talking like that is means he is not a team player.
