IMHO, fuck the HOF. If Bonds isn't in the HOF then their organization isn't legitimate anyway and I don't know why Rose would want to be part of that fraud organization. The HOF voters are MSM libtard baseball writers who never played sports beyond peewee league. Fuck them. The HOF voting has become like the Gold Glove voting. A popularity contest. Fuck it.

If Pete didn’t want to be a HOFer, he wouldn’t have went and died.

RIP. It’s a travesty that he didn’t get into the HOF when he was alive - he was one of the greatest hitters in baseball history.
Yeah, but what if he was Jewish? Is Koufax, that motherfucking Zionist, deserving of the HOF? Asking for a non-friend. That would be.....you.

Well if Rose didn’t get in then Bonds better sure in the hell not get in ever either.
What rule did Bonds break that Willie Mays, Frank Thomas, David Ortiz, Albert Pujols, Adrian Beltre, Edgar Martinez, Derek Jeter, and Jim Thome didn't break? Like I said, the HOF voting is a popularity contest. Some player's cheating is overlooked. Some player's cheating is not. But here is a fact: professional players are extremely competitive and will look for whatever edge they can find even if that edge puts their longterm health in jeopardy. And the popular players the MSM promotes as 'clean cut' look for that same edge wherever they can find it just like the players the MSM chooses to blacklist.

If you knew this guy from the Politics forum, you would know what I am referencing. He takes a shot at Jews every chance he gets. There isn't a bigger anti-Semite on this message board. But, I'm hijacking the thread so I will stop now.

I have never heard that. He outlived all the HOFers of his era. Surprising considering he was probably on amphetamines for most of his playing career.

It is debatable when he started. It isn’t debatable that he did (allegedly) use.

It is also not debatable that he never broke a rule.
IMO that is what is causing the resistance to a lot of these guys getting voted into the HOF. Why is it debatable? Can't he just tell us when he started Not breaking a rule. They all lied about something they didn't really have to and that was enough for some of the sanctimonious old writers to not vote for some of them. Obviously Bonds and Clemens were the best of the bunch by the numbers but if I remember right Bonds let his childhood friend rot in prison for a year or something so he wouldn't have to testify. And I think there was testimony with Clemens and some trainer that was injecting him in the ass with steroids or something.

I'm not saying that should keep them out of the hall of fame when others are getting in, but IMO those are the kind of things that make them just unlikeable enough for some of these old fogies to leave them off the ballot.

It's like the coverup is worse than the "crime" even when there is no real crime or punishable violation according to the rules

Yeah that was ridiculous what they did to Mays. I think all he did was some advertising for a casino in Atlantic City when they first got gambling. But that was years before they were even close to getting sports betting.

I think they shook a lot of hands at casino entrances.

The blame for the Steroid Era belongs to the league and players equally. The powers had to know what was going on. Sosa goes from hitting 15 homers to 50 overnight. Players came to spring training needing cleats 2-3 sizes bigger than last year. The owners looked the other way to atone for the 1994-95 strike. "Naw it's just advanced weight training, wink wink". Then Jose Canseco's book comes out and it's "Clutch the Pearls" time. But the players juiced to enrich their wallets and pissed on the record books. The power records in Baseball are like the 19th Century pitching records. You have as much chance of seeing someone hit 74 homers as you do of seeing a pitcher win 61 games.
