I was very fortunate to see Clemente
The players on these teams, 64 Cardinals, 65 Dodgers, 66Dodgers, 67Cardinals 68 Cardinals, 69 Mets, 70-71 Orioles 72 Pirates 73 Mets 74 A's 75 Reds, 76 Red Sox 77-78 Yankees along with 77 Dodgers 79 Pirates 80 Phillies
Saw the Astros of 80 and the Reds of 76 also
After 80 I didn't see that much live games did see Jeter and Rivera Maddox and Griiffy jr Deon Clemens and Bonds McGuire Ozzie.
I guess a few after but my real connection was pre 80
During Carltons famous streak on his way to 27, I saw the streak ending game, bummer.

I'm guessing those Mariano Rivera memories aren't the greatest :behindsofa:

LOL. Not good memories from watching him on TV. But the one time I did see him in person was when the Yankees clinched a playoff spot at Tampa Bay in 2007. Up until then, I had never seen a team clinch anything in person. So, that was cool.

My least favorite Yankee of all time is perhaps Jim Leyritz. I still have nightmares about that 1996 WS home run.

I got to see Roberto Clemente hit a three run HR off Steve Carlton. He only had four months to live

Sammy Sosa - got 3 batting practice hr balls
Ken Griffey Jr - got 1 bp hr ball
RIckey Henderson - seen him break or tie Lou Brocks sb record in 1984 vs the Brewers in Milwaukee

Those were my highlights.......
I can't list all the top players Ive seen when I have been to approximately 50-60 baseball games starting back in 1972( Cubs vs Expos)........

With my last game in 2023 at Truist Stadium vs the Dodgers......

Nice!

It was a quest of mine in my younger years to see as many ball parks as possible. I was lucky to see:
Fenway Park
Yankee Stadium (old)
Shea Stadium
Citizen Park
PNC Park
Jacob's Field
Old Tiger Stadium
New Comiskey
Busch Stadium
Tropicana Field
Bank One (AZ)
Dodger Stadium

(and, I walked around Coors Field on a non-game day!)

Wrigley
Oakland Alameda
Jack Murphy (Qualcomm)
Petco

Angel Stadium (not a baseball game)

I've been to Fenway Park, Pittsburgh, and first but not least, Ebbets Field. (Hey, I was just a little kid.)

Also MSG for the Rangers and a few times to Boston Garden for the Bruins and once for Boston and once for the Rolling Stones.

Ooh. Not sure how, but I forgot Camden Yards on my list. I got to see Cal Ripken's final three games - and they just happened to be playing Boston! Amazing series!
