Well of course he was being ripped by some. Doesn't mean it was justified or well aimed. People were upset about losing the SB and needed someone to take it out on. And of course "playcalling" is always a convenient punching bag by reactionary types.

Maybe it was the consistently slow starts to almost every game or really awful situational play calling or the bubble screens that never worked or never maximizing the talent like jimmy graham, having him block when he should never be a blocker.

We also didnt have the oline that could hold up with out him blocking. Was the reason they gave up on him and drafted Dissly.

Bevells biggest issue was his enability to make adjustments in game.

Pete having Chip Kelly as his OC isn't to bad for the raiders. Now you don't want him as your HC ( Chip Kelly ) but a OC yeah sure. He feels like a Raiders OC.

Kind of a wierd match-up between Chip and Pete though. Chip doesn't play the style Pete likes to play.

He had to do something because he wasnt going to get another shot as a NFL HC if he didn't lol.

His stats at UCLA and Ohio State do point to him changing his style.
