You talking about the 14 year old he was alleged to have had a long affair with in the 70's?

They should have opened the HOF back up to him. The voters would keep him out just off of that alone. Who wants a pedo in their HOF?

Would McGwire get in? There is something I never realized about him. Did anyone know that even though he had 583 HR, he only had 1626 hits? Whoa. Is there anyone above 500 HR that has a lower hit to HR ratio?

I just checked and the answer is no. McGwire was the only one below 2000 career hits, and I think the only one with a H:HR ratio below 3.

Rose was the worst base stealer in history, at least since CS records were kept. 198 SB, 149 CS. Not good on defense. Basically the same skillset as Luis Arraez.

How about Sosa? Palmeiro? or maybe even A-Rod?
Sosa has the bat and ARod used when it was actually, officially against the rules. And he got hit twice. Imho, he is a 100% nonstarter until B&C are both in.

I hated him as a kid, but he certainly deserves to be in the HOF.

RIP, Pete.

No to McGwire. A long career with a lot of home runs. But not HOF even if you let all the juicers in.

RIP. It’s a travesty that he didn’t get into the HOF when he was alive - he was one of the greatest hitters in baseball history.
Nope it was the perfect punishment. He agreed to a lifetime ban to prevent even worse revelations. He’s dead now he can go in
