Point is, there is risk everywhere. And even if you do something risky, at some point you have to trust the other person to, you know, not break the law and make it worse.

I agree and it's a sad thing that there isn't more integrity in the world where you can just expect people not to break the law.

I learned a shitty lesson in high school. A female friend of mine told me that this guy had raped her. I fought him because of it. Turns out he hadn't, she just told me that because she was pissed at him and knew I'd go after him if she told me that.

There's no doubt there are rapists out there, and from the bottom of my heart, I wish them irreparable harm. The flip side is there's no doubt that there are crazy broads out there too.

No doubt there are situations where the woman has made it up. But the fact that it's happened before doesn't justify jumping to the assumption that it is the case every time it happens involving someone we want on our fantasy teams.

The sad reality is that because the initial assumption will be to shame the victim or claim she asked for it or is somehow "responsible" is the reason the majority of this situations don't get reported. This I know.



And for the record, I don't think your proposed punishment is overboard by that much. Maybe a smaller nail or drywall screws.

Exactly. The fact that the victim has already been mentioned is the real problem here.
