I was being a bit PC, yes. It's the same shit every time. And that's not even *just* in cases of celebrities. Look at tons of examples on college campuses, the crap in Steubenville (it was there, right?), all of that. "HOW DARE YOU RUIN MY FRIENDS' LIFE!" How dare YOU think this isn't ruining hers. I think most people are very private when it comes to personal issues, and I canNOT imagine having this happen in such a bright light. This will also follow her for the rest of her life. It takes incredible courage to do something about it. I stand here unaffected and even I'm not sure I'd be able to do it. Which is why, presuming reports have some merit, I'm very impressed how little has leaked. That's a good thing. Protect her.

It's actually easier to destroy the victim when fame isn't involved. No publicist fretting over how the media attention will affect their clients' "brand". Don't say she might be promiscuous, we might lose our Proctor and Gamble endorsement.

I'm daggum passionate about it now...lord help me should I have daughters. And you make a good point with attorneys/publicists of high profile guys, but I know if it were me I'd struggle more with idiots on social media, regular media, etc. And there always seems to be loss of friends because of it, etc. You're very right though...you can see the pattern and almost follow it. An issue with it legally, is that many don't get the r*pe kit in a timely manner, or are too afraid to, and after that opportunity passes it essentially because he said/she said. It's a damn shame.

Several accounts describe Kane physically assaulting a young woman in Madison a few years back. He got kicked out of the frat house and that's it. If a formal complaint had been filed then maybe this fucking idiot would have learned his lesson. I know, I know, he's almost certainly too dumb for that. AT least he'd likely be on probation though and probably prohibited from drinking alcohol. It might have saved his latest victim a lot of grief.

In short...kudos for coming forward young lady. Maybe this will save another woman a tone of anguish and pain.

Amen to that. I honestly didn't recall the Madison stuff. I thought it was just him being a sloppy drunk, didn't know there was an incident. When that stuff happened I sort of wrote it off as him having a college experience that he never had, but yeah...assault doesn't fall into that. Again, if you're a horrible drunk you can't drink. That's the way it works. Privilege not a right, yadda yadda. I had a classmate in grad school that didn't understand that concept. Groped two of my roommates on separate occasions, drove drunk many times...after many times being yelled at, it still didn't click that maybe he SHOULDN'T DRINK.

it is really embarrassing here in Chicago. I high percent of people saying they feel confident he didn't do anything . a lot of them women. I just don't understand how fans can separate their love of their team for a serious/real life situation. no one has a clue what happened and no one should have an opinion on it yet.
