I like this kid. He's certainly having a much, better second half than first half season. I do think we over paid a little, but still, he's terrific at SS, decent to good hitter (without power of course), and great teammate. And I really feel the Rangers, + us, are going to be happy we have him over the long haul.

Couldn't believe the idiots who said he was doggining it since he got his fat contract.

I don't think TEX "overpaid" for EA's new program. It's not like there is a store where you can buy a SS. I'll trust JD knowing exactly what Elvis'value is now and will be across the term of the contract.

Know there are some who bemoan that EA doesn't have 12HRs or such ... but I think the way it works if you are carrying the extra weight equal to the muscle to get those HRs ... then another part of your game isn't as effective and you become more injury prone.

TEX knew what he was when he came over as the #2 or #3 piece in the Teixeira trade. A HR slugging SS is not what they were looking for.

right. I wondered "why on earth would anyone who proclaims to be a Ranger fan - even semi Ranger fan - think this?" His enthusiasm for the game, the desire to succeed and win, has never ever been in question. This guy ain't playing the way he plays for the paycheck. He has that old Ernie Banks kind of spirit to me: "it's such a nice day, why don't we play two?" kind of attitude. I love it.

If we pull it out today, the A's lose the next two we can be up by 4 games by Thursday night.

I'd really like to be 4 1/2 games up when we meet the A's again. More would be better of course.

Me either. But then again, maybe Maddux has a plan, and everyone out there is on the same page. Frasor sure has pitched better than I thought he would really. Glad we got him.

This guy Seager is a major pain in the ass. Glad this is the last game we need to deal with him this season.

You watch...The Mariners will put him on waivers and the A's will pick him up. LOL that would be our lot.
