Like I said, the kid is a prick, but it is a big deal. He was illegally placed under arrest, allegedly not read his rights which must be done at the time of the arrest, and his parents weren't notified where he is a minor. Whether or not he deserved it isn't the argument I'm making, I'm saying they did it wrong, ie illegally and that is wrong.

BUT this thread was started posing a question, therefore I have just given my opinions on how it should be. I never once that I know of said I was going by the law. I do not think it was an abuse of authority.

Heres a question for you. Was the cop in the right for asking to see my ID when I was in the passenger seat while my gf was pulled over because the cop couldnt read my gf's license plate?

So I could walk into a restaurant in Boston's north end, filming with my cell phone, and an FBI agent can get up and arrest me for interfering with their investigation, right? LOL

Your involved in some sort of investigation with the car your looking into. Some kid runs up to within 20feet of you DOING your job with his Iphone and you ask him what he is doing. He says he is doing a report on unauthorized arrests on police officers.

Now your a police officer who is involved in some sort of investigation and this kid is now in the area of your investigation. Say the car involved has drugs or something so this officer is being careful and along comes this kid who may or may not be involved with the person in this car. The officer has to secure the situation so nobody gets hurt mostly for himself but this moron of a kid who could end up dead should the person in that car be armed or something.

Has this kid been arrested by this officer before for being as toolbar?

Has this kid interfered with this officer on other occasions?

So many different possibilities and some of you jump and cry BAD BAD COP cause of this kids 2 min you tube vid that was edited and only shows you HIS SIDE of the story.

If all this were true, there would be no reason to suspend the officer, correct? How can you arrest someone for interfering with an investigation when they are unaware there is on going on? If you were a prosecutor, your cases would be getting thrown out of court!!!

No actually you can film yourself walking all around boston. You cannot put yourself into a investigation that the police are conducting and be as close as 20 ft and being in the way or impeding the investigation.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't allowed to film once being placed under arrest until he got cut loose, lol. Whether or not the kid was arrested before is irrelevant.

Was there anything to inform the kid there was an investigation taking place, ie police tape,or another officer to keep civilians away? From what I understand, it happened in a police parking lot which is public property I believe.
